How to prepare for an MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is often the best method for making a diagnosis. It is particularly well suited for examining the head, spine and lumbar spine, bones and joints, as well as blood vessels. MRI scanners do not produce any harmful radiation, making the examination painless and safe.

• When arriving for the examination, please bring a valid photo ID.
• If possible, please fill out the medical history form in advance using our online service. You can also print the form and complete it manually.
• You can take your regular medications as usual before the MRI scan.

• Avoid wearing heavy makeup for MRI scans of the head area.
