We offer multidisciplinary and high-quality laboratory service packages, including remote sampling. Remote sampling is a low-threshold health service that brings laboratory tests directly to the patient. Remote sampling is designed to make sampling as effortless as possible.

Remote sampling solutions for businesses, hospital districts and municipalities

With the sample collection service, our customers can offer their target group laboratory tests that do not require a laboratory visit but can be taken easily at home. The home sample is mailed to our central laboratory for analysis, making the quality of our remote sampling services fully comparable to our other laboratory services.

Remote sampling gives our customers the chance to save some of the costs and resources required for laboratory testing.

We offer a home sampling service for both private and public sector operators. We produce service packages for different needs and customise the service to our customers’ wishes.

We have cooperated with municipalities on remote chlamydia and gonorrhoea sampling since 2014, and both municipal operators and residents have praised our services for their ease of use.

Businesses in the food industry, for example, have received help with salmonella testing of employees through our service.

How does the remote sampling service work?

• To save costs and resources, the business buys a remote sampling service from us

• We provide a code that the employees of the business can use to order the desired home sample from our webshop

• You can find our range of home samples online at Testaakotona.fi

• The code is valid until the contract is terminated. It allows new employees or other people in the target group to order home samples without a doctor’s appointment or referral, and to carry out the laboratory test in the comfort of their own home.

• After taking a home sample and mailing it to the laboratory, the customer can access their results by logging in to our web service using strong authentication

• In salmonella testing, we also offer a salmonella certificate

Chlamydia and gonorrhoea test at home for municipalities and foundations

We offer a home testing service specially designed for mobile use, through which foundations and municipalities can offer free chlamydia and gonorrhoea tests to their desired target group. A free home test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea is currently available to residents of Vantaa, Vaasa and Seinäjoki as well as students eligible for FSHS (YTHS) services.

How does the remote sampling service for sexually transmitted diseases work?

• A municipality or business buys a remote sampling service for chlamydia and gonorrhoea from us

• We create a login portal for the target group (such as municipal residents) at testaakotona.fi

• Users of the service can order a chlamydia and gonorrhoea home sample free of charge directly through their community’s Testaakotona page

• After taking the home test, the results can be accessed by logging in to our web service using strong authentication
